Reading Assignments

The following list summarizes all of the readings you are responsible for completing before each lecture on the date indicated.  Note that, because the course was designed for a T-Th lecture schedule, readings are listed on the days that lectures are likely to start, even though most lectures will stretch over more than one day.  Three types of readings are included:

(1) [page numbers] in bold from Biology of the Invertebrates, 4th ed.*, by Jan A. Pechenik.  "Research Focus Boxes" are not included in the assignment unless specified.  Starting and/or ending text is included in quotes with the page numbers if the sections to be read might be ambiguous;

(2) Research Focus Box #s from the Pechenik text;

(3) selected primarly literature articles [SR], which are available as .pdf files at the PLA link

* Note: use this page only if you have the 4th edition (white cover) of the textbook.  Note that the page has not been kept up-to-date, so should only be used for reference when converting from pages in the 5th edition.
